The Indiana High School Golf Coaching Association (IHSGCA) recognizes the top golfers in the state each year. 1973 was the first year the IHSGCA recognized an All-State team for boys and 1981 was the first year the IHSGCA recognized an All-State team for girls. The first recognized teams had 10 golfers represented, but in recent years, the number has increased to 15 All-State Golfers based on a points based ranking program (of golfers who were nominated by their coaches). If there are years with more than 15 golfers, it is because one or more of the golfers that made the team (that didn't rank in the top 15 or wasn't nominated) placed in the top 6 as an individual in the IHSAA State Finals.
